Our goal at Trial of Fears extends beyond providing spin-shivering thrills and remarkable haunted house experiences. Giving back to the community, has has been our foundation since day one. Though having frightfully good time is our main priority, we also think that energy may be used to create something meaningful and impactful. To make sure that our work is about more than just entertainment, each year we support a local non-profit organization that is committed to giving back to those in need.
We are particularly pleased to be supporting Family Promise of Hawaii with our donation this year. This amazing non profit organization puts forth endless effort to help homeless families by providing resources, a safe haven, and a route to a sustainable way of life. Their goal of assisting families in regaining stability and independence. We believe that by supporting Family Promise of Hawaii, we can help them in their important work of ending the cycle of homelessness and giving families the resources they need for a better future.
At Trial of Fears, we care about our community as much as we do about scaring our guests. We are able to truly impact lives and guarantee that our haunted house becomes a force of goodwill each year thanks to the attendance of those who visit. Goodwill Hawaii and the Trial of Fears come together to strengthen the community and create opportunities for those who may experience employment obstacles. This is why majority of our costuming within the attraction is bought from Goodwill stores. Rather than outsourcing costumes from large corporations in the mainland, the Trial of Fears wanted to provide support to locals within our community.
Goodwill Hawaii’s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient. Supported by its retail operations and financial endeavors, its educational, employment and training programs have provided skills training, employment counseling, job placement and support services since 1959. Each year, tens of thousands of residents in Hawaii have benefited from its services. To learn more about Goodwill Hawaii, visit goodwillhawaii.org.
