Caring Through Scaring

The Hawaii Foodbank and Trial of Fears

A portion of all proceeds made from the Trial of Fears will be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank. Here at the Trial of Fears we believe in supporting the community through feeding the 'ohana of Hawaii especially, during these tough times. This is why we are also offering customers to bring canned goods to the event itself to be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank as well.

Mission Statement:

  • "The people of Hawaii are one ʻohana. Hawaii Foodbank provides food so that no one in our family goes hungry. We work to gather food and support from our communities. We then distribute food through charitable agencies to those in need. Our mission is from the heart, and we will fulfill our mission with integrity, humanity and aloha." - The Hawaii Foodbank.

Healing Those Impacted by COVID-19

As Hawaii continues to be impacted by COVID-19, The Hawaii Foodbank is faced with the unprecedented issues of feeding those who have been afflicted by the pandemic as well as meeting the nutritional needs of those who were already hungry pre-pandemic. Even as the community starts to reopen, the economic impact is still felt by all members of the ‘ohana. Though these changes are affecting everyone, those who suffer from hunger, are in a particularly vulnerable position, and the number of people who are hungry is rising at a frightening rate.

Goodwill Hawaii

Halloween Comes Alive at Goodwill

Goodwill Hawaii and the Trial of Fears come together to strengthen the community and create opportunities for those who may experience employment obstacles. This is why nearly all of our costuming within the attraction is bought from Goodwill stores. Rather than outsourcing costumes from large corporations in the mainland, the Haunted Trolley Graveyard wanted to provide support to locals within our community.

Mission Statement:

  • "Goodwill Hawaii works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families in Hawaii by eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential and become self-sufficient through the power of work."- Goodwill Hawaii
